Addressing the existing data gaps for SDGs reporting in Punjab, the Punjab SDGs Unit has determined SDGs indicators baselines (2014/15) and proposed 2030 targets and provincial consultations on validation of baseline values and targets. The Unit in collaboration with the Punjab Bureau of Statistics has computed 103 out of 161 SDG indicators, which will add significant value to the Provincial statistical ecosystem. The Punjab SDGs Unit also provided significant support in developing Pakistan’s National SDGs Snapshot Report 2021, which provides a much-needed and immediate reference point, and a snapshot to the policymakers and planners to track and improve the country’s progress on SDGs for evidence-based policy making leaving no one behind.
