To address the existing data gaps for SDGs monitoring and reporting in Punjab, the Punjab SDGs Support Unit provided technical assistance to the Bureau of Statistics Punjab through comprehensive capacity-building training sessions on the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and CSPro-based Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) system. The hands-on training aimed to hone the skills of the statistical officers in conducting CAPI-based household and large-scale surveys across Punjab and disseminating the survey findings on maps using GIS applications.
To scale up the capacity-building training programme for the Punjab Bureau of Statistics and provincial line departments, the Punjab SDGs Support Unit has planned two more training initiatives during 2022, including (a) STATA training for Data Management, Cleaning, and Data Analysis, and (b) Training on Price-Inflation using STATA.
