The 2030 Agenda puts a lot of burden on the statistical capacities of the national as well as provincial governments to collect and report data on various SDGs indicators. The policymakers and researchers can use the wealth of SDG data for designing informed policy decisions, if available in a consolidated manner. In Punjab, most of this data evidence spreads across multiple surveys and reports, and researchers face difficulty finding SDG-specific data in one place.
To bridge this gap, the Punjab SDGs Unit, in consultation with the Punjab Bureau of Statistics and provincial line departments, has developed a user-friendly web-based dashboard to gauge the progress of various SDGs indicators. It provides necessary data evidence to the researchers and policymakers working on designing policies to achieve the Agenda 2030 and lays a strong foundation for future policy decisions to be based on data evidence. The online SDGs dashboard, hosted at the Punjab Bureau of Statistics, allows users to download the datasheets and graphically presented datasets.
