To mark the Intergenerational Solidarity on Youth Day 2022, the Punjab SDGs Unit partnered with Milkar Pakistan to jointly organize a Volunteer Awards Ceremony on 12th August at the Governor House, Lahore. The event aimed to showcase the commitment, diversity, and impact of the volunteering community working across Punjab for social causes and community projects to ensure inclusive development to leave no one behind.
Chaired by Governor Punjab, Mr. Baleegh-ur-Rehman, the event engaged a great line-up of speakers including Dr. Amjad Saqib, CEO Akhuwat; Dr. Umar Saif, Founder, Milkar Pakistan; Dr. Mushtaq Mangat, Vice President, Al-Khidmat Foundation, and Ms. Saba Faisal, CEO, SOS Village Pakistan, among others, who highlighted the need of harnessing youth potential through synergized efforts, skills-based training, and digital transformation for sustainable development in Pakistan.
